It looks like an effective strategy, a plan, all aligned with the goals
Truly new territory for Ipswich Town.

|It’s not a 5-point plan, hastily scribbled on the back of a pack of cigarettes, is it?|

Everything seems measured and planned. Of course, the concern is that this could all be derailed by a few injuries to key players or an unlucky playoff loss.

These are goals set at the top, I love seeing them in detail, but I gave feedback to Steeds:
“Legitimate progress in business, retail and infrastructure initiatives. Major operational improvements underway. Resolute management of the club and talent of all the players. Great manager, great team leadership.”
I imagine they are divided into say 4-6 categories, with multiple objectives with defined goals, short and long term.
Marcus Evans was a businessman… so he would have had more than a pack of cigarettes
But it never felt complete and most importantly there were no people or structures in place to implement them!

I think that with the project that frankly derails it’s the pressure of waiting and McKenna being still a little green
All the pieces of the puzzle seem to be in place… but Bolton will come in just as excited, just as a club on the rise, you then go to Forest Green for their first game at this level, and it becomes a lottery, and then you’re playing a very very well trained MK Dons now with money to spend….
How do we all react if expectations of a flying start waver and the pressure mounts. We just need to keep a cool head, work hard and try to show conviction and momentum…

Totally agree and would add “and without initial investment to achieve them”.
The current owners are investing for a return.

Imagine the KPIs:
Sale of shirts
Looks pretty healthy indeed, and looks like the club is worth, so the investment is on the right trend.
BUT, it relies on a fanbase forged in Burley’s success…and desperate for success…the goodwill is there…but it just can’t sustain League One any longer, those ‘KPI’ increases won’t help to nothing without promotion to the championship
