Rail Forum event gears up for record attendance

The annual Rail Forum conference returns on October 11, with a packed schedule of industry speakers and a larger venue to accommodate a record number of delegates.

The conference, to be held at the ICC in Birmingham, will bring together industry leaders and senior decision makers from across the sector to discuss and debate ‘delivering a better, simpler railway’.

This year’s conference will feature four sessions under the overall theme of “Better and Simpler Rail” and will focus on:

  • Project delivery
  • Innovation
  • Inclusiveness and
  • Clients

Elaine Clark, CEO of the Rail Forum, said: “We are really looking forward to hosting our annual conference in October. After last year’s hugely successful event, we made the decision to move to a much bigger venue. ICC Birmingham can accommodate not only our members but also other industry colleagues who wish to attend.

Confirmed speakers include Mark Thurston, CEO of HS2, who will deliver the keynote with Sambit Banerjee, Managing Director Rolling Stock & Customer Services UKI for Siemens; Simon Scott, Director of Engineering for East West Rail and Maggie Simpson, Managing Director of RFG”.

Our full speaker line-up is now confirmed and we will be announcing them over the next few weeks, including representatives from:

  • Asset managers
  • GCRE
  • Infrastructure contractors
  • Railway network
  • Passenger operators
  • SME

More information about the annual conference can be found on the Rail Forum website here, including the programme, partnership opportunities and speaker details.
